Turning 65 or retiring soon? Medicare can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. We're here to make it simple and help you find the right coverage for your healthcare needs and budget.
Medicare is divided into several parts. Each part plays a different role in your healthcare coverage:
Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Covers inpatient care like hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, and hospice care. Most people don’t pay a premium for Part A if they've worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years.
Part B (Medical Insurance)
Covers outpatient care such as doctor visits, lab work, preventive services, and durable medical equipment. Part B has a monthly premium, which can vary based on your income.
Together, Parts A and B make up Original Medicare.
Original Medicare doesn’t cover everything. You may have out-of-pocket costs like deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. It also doesn’t include most prescription drugs, dental, vision, or hearing coverage.
That’s where the next options come in.
Medicare Supplement plans help cover the gaps in Original Medicare. They don’t replace Medicare but work alongside it to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.

Choose from different standardized plans (Plan G, Plan N, etc.)
No networks or referrals needed
These plans don’t include prescription drug coverage, so many people pair them with a standalone Part D plan.
Part D helps cover the cost of prescription medications. Plans are offered by private insurance companies, and each one has its own list of covered drugs (formulary), pharmacy network, and copay structure.
Choose a plan based on the medications you take
Avoid late enrollment penalties by signing up on time
Can be added to Original Medicare or a Medigap plan
We’ll help you compare options and find the most cost-effective plan for your prescriptions.
Medicare Advantage plans are all-in-one alternatives to Original Medicare. They’re offered by private insurance companies and include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D coverage.
Often includes extras like dental, vision, hearing, and gym memberships
Lower monthly premiums in many cases
Managed care networks (like HMO or PPO)
May require referrals and have limited provider networks
If you choose a Medicare Advantage plan, you don’t need a Medigap or separate Part D plan.
